Life is mysterious, it is like a forest;

from far it seems a unity;

it can be comprehended, described,

but closer it begins to separate,

to break into light and shadow,

the density blinds one.

Within there is no form,

only prodigious detail that reaches everywhere:

exotic sounds, spills of sunlight, foliage, fallen trees,

small beasts that flee at the sound of a twig-snap,

insects, silence, flowers.

生命很神秘，像一座森林;

從遠方看好像是統一的;

可以理解，可以描述，

但是近看，就開始分崩離析，

分解成光影，

密度之高讓人眼花撩亂。

沒有格式，

只有無所不在的細節：

奇怪的聲音，到處潑灑的陽光，樹葉，枯木，

因為樹枝折斷而四處奔竄的小動物，

蟲子，靜默，還有花朵。

人生是不是真的經不起細看？

隔一段距離看，一切都還好

好像很完整，簡單易懂;

但是湊近了看，卻複雜無比，

說不清楚...
